In 1991 I gained a First Class Degree in Painting at Canterbury College of Art, and after intervals in America and Japan I completed a Master’s Degree at Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall. It was at this point that I became interested in the relationship between words and images and began working within the book format. As well as exploring the inter-relationship between text and image, I was also interested in creating portable, accessible art that didn’t require a specific viewing context.

Currently I live and work in North London. I am a member of East London Printmakers where I regularly print and edition my own work. In 2010 I launched my own Small Press Rank Outsider. The Press focuses on creating limited edition etchings as well as bookwork’s in collaboration with emerging writers and poets.
